Local considerations in Hereford, Herefordshire
In England, powered gates and barriers are machinery: they must be installed and maintained so they are safe in use (BS EN 12453 force limits, photocells and safety edges) under health and safety law, and any gate onto a road must not open over the highway.
Work in Hereford is a mix of residential blocks, schools, offices, industrial units and homes, and we tailor the specification to how busy the site is.
We assess every crush, shear and trapping point and fit edges and photocells to suit, then force-test.
Maintenance of safety edges & photocells in Hereford
Planned maintenance keeps safety edges & photocells safe and reliable and gives you records for insurers and inspections. We service CAME and all other makes: we check fixings, wear, power and battery backup, controls and safety devices, adjust and lubricate where needed, test operation end to end and leave a written report with any recommended actions.
